Effective Eh……………?

How Is This Achieved I Here You Ask
well there is no Photoshop trickery involved that is for sure. My cameras setting were roughly as follows
Iso 100
Auto White Balance
Manual Mode
Aperture F10
Exposure 8 seconds

Camera was set up on a tripod, you needed a friend to help to press the shutter on the camera, to focus and to check the compositions is reasonable in the view finder

This is me in the shot, i had a small set of white LED Christmas fairy lights that are battery operated. As the shutter was pressed i simply spun the lights around after dark and the cameras records the moving lights just like above.

You can of course experiment with different light sources, different shutter speeds and at different times of the day.
